Left Field
Where the field bends.
A score here is a research note with a version number. It is not a forecast or an endorsement. Left Field puts seat-level public election, geography and campaign-finance records beside their sources, then tells you what is missing.

Start with a seat
The research covers seats in the U.S. House and Senate, governorships and state legislatures. Each provisional score shows its inputs. Factual House and Senate seat records carry their sources too.
Missing information stays missing. It is not converted into a zero or filled with an inferred fact. A ranking should be read with its version, coverage and limitations, not as a prediction of who will win.
What's outside the score
Left Field works with public records at seat level. Individual voter files, inferred ideology and demographic targeting are outside its scope. The site does not imply DSA endorsement.
Address lookup, where separately enabled after privacy review, resolves federal districts without retaining the submitted address. It is not a prerequisite for reading the research.
Read the methods
The research site is in active development. Proposed datasets, reviewed evidence and published outputs are separate states; source code alone does not approve a dataset for release.
Product scope and architecture explain the evidence boundaries. DEVELOPMENT.md covers local setup, synthetic fixtures, verification and the original repository overview.
